Tuesday afternoon, First Lady Michelle Obama launched her new Let’s Move Outside initiative, a program designed to help children become healthier and more involved in outdoor activities, at Red Rock National Conservation Area in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Let’s Move Outside program is a part of the first lady’s Let’s Move campaign, aimed at solving the problem of childhood obesity. U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid joined Mrs. Obama at this event, as they spoke on the importance of being active and even participated in a small yoga session with some children at the canyon.

For this occasion, Michelle made sure not to wear her shorts as she did at the Grand Canyon last year, causing quite an uproar of controversy across America. Instead, she wore a floral Etro cardigan paired with a tiered J.Crew skirt and her infamous Sonia Rykiel plastic belt. To complete her look, Michelle added a pair of silver ballet flats, the perfect shoe for the summer. Read more
