Instead of traditional clip-in extensions, Kristen is wearing track extensions — just a simple length of hair. Frederic Fekkai celebrity hair stylist Adir Abergel wrapped the track around her own natural ponytail so that her shorter hair wasn’t visible, He covered the track completely by wrapping a piece of Kristen’s hair from underneath around the track and then pinning it.

I wanted “a sleek and edgy high ponytail with added movement,” says Abergel who created Kristen’s red carpet look. Adir started Kristen’s pony by applying Fekkai Full Blown Volume Styling Whip all over her wet hair. He then dried her tresses using his hands, not a brush, to create even more volume. To give Kristen’s hair more movement, Adir curled the top sections of her head with a one-inch curling iron, finishing them off with Fekkai Beach Waves spray to make the curls loose, not ringlet-like.
