Is a superhero in tights fueling a new fashion trend for men?
Or is it simply that some males find pantyhose a nice fit?
In this summer of “The Dark Knight” comes a craze for men’s hosiery.
Retailers in Europe and the United States say that men are buying pantyhose – sheer, satin, glossy, opaque or support – in skyrocketing numbers in recent months.
………According to retailers, some males simply appreciate the added insulation in colder climates. Other customers say hose provides support, stimulates circulation and alleviates muscle fatigue. Still others just like the way tights look and feel against the skin.”
Ok, I saw this article in the paper this morning. I’ll be honest; I was laughing out loud when I read this, and I needed the laugh.
Can someone explain to me why men would choose to wear tights, other than for medical or sports reasons? I spend every occasion, that I have to wear a skirt or dress, thinking of ways to avoid them, or in search of those tights which provide the greatest comfort–the lesser of the many evils on the market, control top pantyhose and tights are the work of an evil mind. What do you think?
